Who is this program for?Our program is for students in Years 3 to 6 who are preparing for the Opportunity Class (OC) and selective high school placement tests in NSW.

How long is the program?Our program runs year-round, with flexible enrolment options to suit different preparation timelines, from intensive short courses to long-term study plans.

How often are classes held?Classes are typically held 1–2 times per week, depending on the student’s plan, with additional access to practice exams and educator support throughout the week.

What resources will my child receive?Your child will have access to: Weekly lesson plans and homework Full-length practice exams Personalised study schedules Detailed performance reports

How do you track my child’s progress?We provide detailed weekly reports on accuracy, speed, and volume of work completed, along with performance analytics to identify areas needing improvement.

When should my child start preparing?Ideally, students should begin preparing 12–18 months in advance to build the necessary skills and confidence. We've figured out that stress itself is the biggest thing that causes students to underperform, so being prepared mentally and early is crucial.

How difficult is the selective test?The test is highly competitive, with complex and time-pressured questions designed to challenge high-achieving students. We've designed mental wellness workshops to ensure your child's stress is managed and they walk out the selective test proud of their performance.

What subjects are included in the selective test?The test consists of four sections: Reading – 25 multiple-choice questions (40 minutes) Mathematical Reasoning – 35 multiple-choice questions (40 minutes) Thinking Skills – 40 multiple-choice questions (40 minutes) Writing – 30-minute written response We train students the steps to overcome each type of question. No matter how hard the question seems. Our ASV system guides our teaching method and drives student success

What is the format of the selective test?The test is fully computer-based and consists of multiple-choice questions, except for the writing component, which requires a written response.

Is there negative marking in the test?No, there is no penalty for incorrect answers. Students are encouraged to attempt every question.
